Sundance is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Store Manager to join our team. Sundance is a leading omni-channel specialty retailer with headquarters located in Salt Lake City, UT. Summary

The Store Manager drives store sales by offering outstanding customer service, providing a high level of attention to detail on product presentation, and maintaining product in-stock position. The Store Manager is ultimately be responsible for all aspects of the store.

Responsibilities

Customer Service/Sales

  • Consistently exceeds the expectations and requirements of both the internal and external customer.
  • Runs the store from the floor. Acts as a floor leader and sets the example through actions.
  • Listens to customers and uses their feedback to improve service levels in the store.
  • Achieves budget sales, payroll and inventory goals. Analyzes sales trends and develops plans and schedules to maximize profits and minimize costs.
  • Resolves issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Provides ongoing sales and product training for the staff to achieve sales goals.

Store Teams

  • Is dedicated to recruiting, hiring, and training a talented management team. Develops team so that store is fully staffed at all times and turnover is kept to a minimum.
  • Provides challenging goals and assignments to ensure all associates are trained and performing to company expectations.
  • Motivates and develops associates and management team by providing product training, sales training, service techniques, and having frequent developmental discussions with team members. Writes and delivers all management performance appraisals.
  • Meets regularly with management team to discuss sales trends, product assortment, inventory levels, new operation procedures, and hiring needs. Uses data to inform and establish weekly and monthly goals.
  • Holds quarterly store meetings to inform team of sales trends, goals, new product information, seasonal promotions, provide selling techniques training, and recognize team members.
  • Selecting, training, motivating and developing a team capable of executing the tasks required to maintain the standards of a world-class retailer.
  • Must effectively manage store operations, personnel, and maintain a positive, energetic work environment.
  • Must consistently demonstrate and uphold the Sundance culture with the utmost integrity. Will be a liaison between corporate retail operations and the retail store.

Standards of Operations

  • Maintains disciplines for visual standards, store cleanliness, safety, and operations – all executed and implemented in a timely, cost effective manner.
  • Monitors inventory procedures and sees that shrink goals are met.
  • Consistently enforces all company policies and procedures. Performs opening and closing procedures and ensures bank deposits are done daily.
  • Keeps open and responsive communication with District Manager.
  • Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.

Qualifications
  • Associates degree in related field required; BS or BA preferred
  • 5+ years retail store manager experience; including previous specialty retail general store manager responsibilities
  • Previous experience with a premium brand retailer
  • Experience in an environment where customer service is highly regarded
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Stellar interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and drive others to succeed
  • Competent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
