Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented full time pharmacy technician who can assist the pharmacist on duty with the following:

• Answer incoming calls and answer any questions regarding personal medication or general pharmacy products
• Receive, validate, and process prescription orders accurately
• Resolve rejected insurance claims when they arise
• Speak to doctors and insurance agencies to resolve prescription and cost discrepancies
• Maintain ongoing medication inventory
• Enter and maintain prescription data
• Filling prescriptions
• providing and dispensing medication in a timely manner
• Complete special projects as assigned by supervisor
• Comply with all safety and security regulations

Pharmacy Technician Requirements and Qualifications

• Bilingual- Spanish & English required
• Familiarity with pharmacy law and medical terminology
• Previous experience in a pharmacy setting
• Previous knowledge of specialty medication and terminology (preferred)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Comfortable working in a fast pace environment
• Team player

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour

• Long term care

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Pharmacy Technician Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

• Spanish (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Pharmacy Technician Certification (Required)
