Oral Surgery practice currently looking for a surgical dental assistant who will represent our group practice in a positive manner, is a team-player and reliable. Excellent phone etiquette and professional behavior a must.

This candidate should be self-motivated, have excellent organizational skills to multi task and be energetic willing to learn.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist the doctor in surgery, monitor and escort patients, sterilize instruments, take care of equipment and ordering supplies.

Other duties include: Ordering and storage of surgical supplies, Implants, DEA Drug Logs, taking x-rays (PAs, Panoramic and Cone Beam CT Scan.) Sending out and tracking Pathology specimens, night guards and surgical guides. Take impressions for study models and intra Oral Scanning experience.

Answer telephones, schedule appointments, check in/check out( cross trained)

Comply with all Safety, Emergency, Hazard, OSHA, HIPAA, Clinical, Quality Assurance and Administrative Plans, Policies, Guidelines, Protocol, and Standards

Requirements for Position:

Prior surgical assistant experience required (4 Years of dental assisting). Experience with Impacted Wisdom Teeth, extractions, Implants, biopsies, exposures, Bone Grafting (PRF),nitrous and IV sedation. knowledge and use of Dental terminology (CDT). Bi-lingual a plus
