Office Hours - Monday- Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm MST.
We will be having a Basic Fire Class Training on APRIL 3RD and APRIL 17TH space is limited! Refresher class APRIL 17TH.
Accepting the Basic online certifications for people living out of state who would prefer to do the training on their own.

Requirements:
  • Must bring in (2) forms of ID (Driver's License, Social Security, State ID, Passport, Green-card, etc.)
  • Boots are a condition of hire (Provide own boots with these requirements: No military boots or steel toe, boots minimum of 8 inches tall) by the end of training - expect a fire call any moment after completion.
  • Able to relocate to the Boise Area or live within 1 hour from the base. Unfortunately, we are unable to house our employees and do not assist in relocating to the area.

This is a CALL-WHEN-NEEDED position. This means we must have a good phone number to call. You must be at the office within one hour of notice if called to go on a fire assignment. You may be gone from one day to 30 days at a time and go anywhere in the United States.
Before taking the training class, you will have to pass the "Walk Test". The Work Capacity Fitness Test (WCFT) is required for all Wildland firefighters. The WCFT consists of a three-mile walk with a 45lb pack vest, completed in less than 45 minutes.

PatRick Corporation provides the training required to be a wildland firefighter, these classes are presented in a four-day class. You will not be paid for this training. PatRick Corporation is certified to train and will be holding classes throughout the year. PatRick offers this training free to potential employees. You cannot be hired to work on wildfires until you have taken and passed all the required courses.
