Productive Playhouse is seeking Khmer Transcribers to join our transcription team in our Orlando, Florida office for project-based work. Productive Playhouse has an extensive background in language services, including transcription, translation, and audio collection projects in a wide variety of languages. The nature of the role is ongoing and project-based. The workload is dependent on project needs

Responsibilities

Transcribers will work in the office listening to audio recordings via headphones and transcribe (type) what is being said using proper spelling and grammar. Elements transcribed include speech (sometimes frequently overlapping), background noises, and music. No translation is required in this position.

Requirements:

• US work authorization (the company cannot provide sponsorship)
• Able to commute to our office
• 18+ years of age
• Fluent in Khmer
• Ability to understand a wide variety of Khmer-speaking accents
• High School Diploma / GED or equivalent
• Strong language skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for punctuation, grammar, and spelling
• Ability to learn and adapt to our client’s style guide and written domain conventions
• Strong research skills for accurate spelling of names, locations, and products
• Fully vaccinated against COVID*
