Position Summary:

PrimeCare Benefits Group, Inc. is seeking a full-time Software Developer

This position works in a professional office environment, with the possible option to work remotely part time. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Build, deploy, maintain, and document our company software infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be familiar with software development, planning, and design.
  • Working with the team to ensure consistency to standards (visual, functional, and coding).
  • Perform debugging of software, identify root causes, recommend resolution, and then implement changes as required.
  • Designing and developing new functionality from product requirements using Visual Basic.NET, Microsoft SQL Server.


Required Skills:

  • Microsoft SQL Server including stored procedures.
  • Proficiency in Visual Basic.NET (Preferred) or C#.NET utilizing Microsoft Visual Studio.
  • Experience with network infrastructure design, troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing software.
  • Ability to demonstrate expertise when discussing technical issues and solving complex problems.
  • Experience with Microsoft MVC web programming.
  • Experience with MySQL Server configuration.
  • SQL program connections (AJAX).
  • Knowledge of HTML.
  • Experience developing network or database interface applications.
  • Experience in range of programming languages and front-end development including JavaScript.

  • Microsoft IIS and configuration.
  • Microsoft Scheduler
  • FTP (File transfer protocol)
  • ANSI X12 EDI Transaction sets, especially 834, 837 and 270/271
  • Strong understanding of security and privacy fundamentals - All phases of security and privacy including controls, application ID, threat identification and prevention methods, and encryption.


Other:

  • Knowledge of the dental and vision benefits industry
  • A natural problem solver


Education and Training:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field
  • Equivalent work experience is preferred but not required


Benefits:

  • Salary compensation will be based on experience and skills. The successful candidate will be a full-time employee of the company and as such will be eligible for benefits provided for employees at similar employment levels, currently including medical, dental vision, life, and disability insurance. Participation in a contributory 401K is also provided along with paid vacation time.
