Position Summary

Old National Bank is currently looking for a Construction Project Architect to add to our team.

This position is designed to provide and manage architectural design services for building design and construction documents, including building systems integration. Also develop and maintain the company standards and prototype design with regard to layout and finishes for all facilities.

Key Accountabilities
  • Identify project scope, budget and scheduling to ensure multiple projects are completed on schedule
  • Assist in determining the appropriate building components and their design, including code compliance and cost savings initiatives
  • Recommend and maintain design and construction standards
  • Manage all outside architectural design firms
  • Source new architects as needed
  • Coordinate and manage internal design needs
  • Assist in sourcing new vendors for design elements such as millwork, signage, carpet, furniture and more.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • At least five years’ experience in corporate real estate design management for retail bank branches, offices and tenants in a corporate banking environment or similar.
  • Prefer experience with ground up, vanilla box, grey shell and remodels.
  • Experience managing Design professionals
  • Experience working with operational management, marketing and other departments to determine their real estate needs
  • Architecture Degree is required.
  • Advanced degree and/or continuing education with Design, Finance or Real Estate coursework desired.
  • Strong oral and written communication, research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, quantitative, writing and communication skills; able to interface with top level executives.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented and strong time management skills to prioritize deadlines.
  • Proven ability to train, manage or direct activity for entry-level staff.
  • Ability to work independently with a team player attitude.
  • Comfort working in a fast paced, demanding environment.
  • Proficiency with Excel, CAD, Revit and Power Point required.
  • Must have vehicle for travel to various bank properties and to attend meetings with Bank and 3rd party professionals.

  • Successfully hire and manage outside design firms
  • Manage internal company design meetings
  • Assist with defining and updating all design standards and specifications for our facilities
  • Maintain our standard design prototype
