Position Summary:

The pacemaker / ICD technician will be responsible for interpreting remote interrogations generated from pacemakers, ICD?s and implantable loop recorders, which includes accurate analysis of both intracardiac rhythms and surface EKG?s generated by the devices.

Essential Functions:

• Interpretation of remote interrogations generated by pacemakers, ICD?s and implanted loop recorders.
• Accurately interpret intracardiac rhythms and surface EKG?s generated by pacemakers, ICD?s and implanted loop recorders.
• Identify abnormal pacing behaviors and/or inappropriate device therapies.
• Identify device and/or lead issues.
• Identify patients requiring generator changes, lead revisions and device upgrades.
• Notify physicians and/or department manager of findings that meet notification criteria.
• Create accurate and detailed reports of findings during interpretation.
• Schedule remote interrogations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• CCT, EMT-P, LPN (Experience in lieu of formal education will be considered).
• 1 year experience analyzing cardiac devices ? pacemakers, ICD?s and implantable loop recorders.
• Advanced EKG knowledge
