1. Inspect engines and compressors and auxiliary equipment.
2. Check water and oil levels and temperatures, engine and oil pressures, change charts, blow drips, etc.
3. Assist in starting and stopping engines, repairing engines, compressors, and other station equipment.
4. Operate and attend to space heating and boilers, cooling fans and water pumps.
5. May be required to report suction and discharge pressures and calculate and report volumes to Gas Dispatcher and supply other data as requested by Gas Control Section.
6. Assist in making repairs to engines and other station equipment, including major overhauls.
7. Perform various duties incidental to general repair and maintenance work such as painting and repairing structures and equipment, cleaning, polishing, maintaining grounds, digging ditches, etc.
8. Make minor repairs to equipment used in the performance of assigned duties, keeping the equipment and tools in safe and proper working condition.
9. Prepare records and reports as required.
10. Operate computerized station controls.
11. Change pressures and route gas as directed.
12. May perform other duties as required in higher or lower classifications.

This position is subject to call-outs and you must be available and willing to work overtime as required.
